It is simple.
All of the other burger chains think it's okay to have frozen patties just like they think nobody out there will notice the difference. Just like they(the other burger joints) tells us it's okay to kick trees.
Until 1 of them (the Wendy's hair guy) stands up to the rest of them and start telling everybody they don't have to be satisfied with frozen pattie burgers.

LOL...it's sure an annoying commercial I'll give it that. And maybe thats what makes it stand out....they purposely make it as confusing as possible so your left dwelling on it and thus thinking "Wendys" lol.
Another one I can't stand is "head on....apply directly to the forehead". Ok...that commercial was the most SERIOUSLY obnoxious one I've ever seen, I would even mute it when it came on. It was one of the few commercials that actually made me want to write & complain to someone LOL. Then they came out with people interupting the commercial saying they can't stand the commercial but love the product. At first that was pretty funny but soon got old in a hurry. I often wonder if that was in response to so many complaints about the original commercial, or if it was a clever plan they had....first annoy consumers, then sympathcize with them LOL!!!!!

I think they were going for the laugh people would get out of something so random. it was a good try, but I think it failed. random humor is big after stuff like Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre, but it is a very precise art, and must be done perfectly, or it will be a flop like that commercial. I think they were all kicking trees because it is a dumd thing that people shouldn't do. i think they were saying eating at McDonalds of Burger King or something is a dumb thing that poeple Shouldn't do. its parrellism. yea whatever. i know I am a nerd.

lol u have a good point and i laugh every time i see it because it is weird. But i think it is to tell you that even though every other burger joint uses frozen meat, Wendy's doesent (Hence the part of everyone kicking trees and the man suddenly stopping and telling himself he shouldent do what everyone else is doing)...But they couldeve used everyone eating frozen burgers and it wouldent have been so confising. But,, you are right because i was wondering the same thing. LOL.

Some commercial makers seem to think there's only idiots watching TV.

Here is one "take" on it -- there are many others out there wondering the same thing. So -- maybe it works? Follow the thread down to "Mike McVey" part -- think he says it best.
