Diuretics are not meant for this purpose, they have specific role in medical treatment of pathological states relating to fluid in your blood.
It neither burns or reduces fat in your bodies. It is recommended at my end NOT to take any Diuretics, as they will dehydrate you to a dangerous level.
Better do physical.

Some but only temporary. Coffee is a diuretic and so are water pills. If i wanted to loose like 5 pounds before an important event I would take a water pill 24 hours prior. I don't think it is very healthy if you don't need it though

no, all a diuretic does is help your body get rid of excess water. And it all comes back the next day. Doesn't do a thing about losing fat.

No. Being dehydrated can cause your body to retain water, which can result in a 2-5 pound weight gain.
