Probably it's because we've voted into power too many politicians who have the talent of communicative talk to deceive voters and who are corrupted or have no backbones to say "no" to the evil and powerful lobbyists and dirty businesses, looking to enrich themselves or gain power of control of the American population rather than act for the good of ALL Americans.

How can we be sincere and honest about Homeland Security when we have foreign illegal aliens working on America's most important structures and food industry. All it takes is for smart terrorists to bribe certain aliens, seen as weighing money more important than their own lives (knowing how willing the risks they take, like crossing our borders illegally) to set up roadside bombs, bug buildings, deliver plans of high rise complexes or poison our food, and the terrorists would be in control of America. Who do these illegal aliens owe their allegiance to? Surely, not to the US since they transfer their US earnings abroad and fly their own national flags right in front of US TV cameras? And not forgetting that they have little interest to learn to communicate in English and protest when suggestions are made to offer English as the national and official language. Please, how many nations don't have one language selected as their nations' official and national language? What's the reason for having a nation whose people can't communicate with one another? Strong nations only use a language foreign to their People's language for promotion of tourism, not for dividing the population. A nation created to lead the population to see different communities within its lands as foreign can't be a nation with people who can stand united! And when a nation's people are not united, it gives rise to invited terrorism. A nation can only demand loyalty when its people stand united and owe their allegiance to the flag of that nation.

We probably have too many politicians who are not genuine American patriots! And their goal has probably been their cravings to allow any Dick, Tom, or Harry enter into the US for their own selfish and personal comfort - races and ethnicity by larger numbers, whether those entering are bad hats or not! And digracefully, these are the sort that help destroy a nation. Selfish and evil occupiers historically do more harm than good to a nation. They have been historically been infamous for plundering and stealing the weath of the nation, and have been know for their use and promotion of fear as a controlling tactic.

Go research into the tactics used during the colonization eras. And strangely, they had always used the Church as their weapon to a nation's citizens bow and submit to their wiles and fancies. Is it at all surprising that the illegal aliens do have the Church attempt to bend America's population to their wiles and fancies, too? And they know that it's always to their advantage to lobby for candidates who will kiss their butts!

Yes, and Heaven forbids!... unless the Senators wake up and abide by the wishes of the majority of Americans who want illegal aliens thrown out of this country, they'd be sure to turn the US into another Third World nation of dirt, corruption , chaos and social problems, just like some of those nations across our borders. And a democratic US would lend up being a socialist nation like one of those we've complained about!

Seperate the government from the people. People didn't ignore it.....the government did. They did it for whoever was greasing their palms. Money...whatever. Doesn't matter. Problem is....people take it out on the neighbor next door and not the cause of the problem.

I was young when we went through the Cold War and all. Before then.....all Russians were seen as the enemy. Finally they sent kids over. They are no different than us. The problem wasn't the people.....it was the government behind them. Gee....look at all our staged debates. Look at how they film concerts and screen who's in the front row so it "looks good". It's a pre-designed set-up to envoke whatever response they want.

They allowed it to get out of hand for their own personal agenda. We've been lied to and conned as much as the illegals have. We know object is "cheap labor" and the NAU......take it from there.

Its the borders problem. There is not enough border control and cheaper labor will make the rich, richer....So thats why.
Its always been exteremly hard to visit USA as a tourist from a non-european country. Some people try for 20 years to get a tourist visa to USA for only 6 months. I know people that spend lots of lots of money and time to get through a US embassy and get a visa. I know for example Iranians don't even have a US embassy, so they have to travel to other countries just to apply for US visa. And almost 80 percent of those applicants fail to get US visa. And the counselor excuse is always is that there is not enough ties to their country, so therefore they can't get a visa issued because they will end up overstaying in USA. So,
Its always been exteremly tough to get to USA in legal ways, but not through the borders in an illegal way!

They are probably doing something outrageously evil somewhere in the planet, and to keep the American public concentrated on another issue, they bring up the immigration debate. The CIA is known for taking imperialistic approaches to the world, if not, just look at the documents they just released.

Because some affluent businessmen had the ear of local politicians who looked the other way,
because some law enforcement/border patrol etc.. have been caught bein corrupt and participating in the problem, because of conflicting interests, because of ignorance of the citizens, especially those not in the SW USA.
And because we have allowed illegals to gain a lobby with politicians.

The immigration problem has been the same for decades. I have never been able to figure out why it has exploded all of a sudden. Maybe because the domestic economy is well considering unemployment is at 4.7%.

because they keep ignoring it or not doing anything about it, or if they do, we only get empty promises. they don't really want to deal with such a big problem.
