Well, since men cant get Cervical cancer, I am going to assume you are using someone elses log-in, or you are posing as a man to remain anonymous.

I'm really sorry you went through that as a child. I went through something similar, so I can relate. I also sometimes wished that something would happen to me so that I would get some love and attention.

I'm not sure I fully understand your question on how you should feel about cancer. I'm sure you are now getting the attention you craved. Maybe you are feeling a little funny about being glad to get attention that way. I dont think its wrong. I was diagnosed with a brain tumor 3 years ago (I'm fine now). Like you, I was getting alot of attention, and I cant say that I didnt like it. But at the same time, I was scared because....well....I had a brain tumor.

If you need help, I'm sure you will be covered to go see a shrink. They do that for cancer patients at most hospitals, at no expense to you.

You must be using someone else's login, since you sound serious.

What you did as a child to get attention has nothing to do with your getting cancer today. Your wish was not granted, especially since you wanted it years ago and it did not happen then.

How should you feel about having cancer? There is no answer to that question. Every person goes through their own cycle of dealing with such news. There is no right or wrong feeling. The only thing you can do is to keep as positive an attitude as possible and hope for the best. That is what we all do every day, but you need to do for yourself.

Take care,
Troy

You should feel about cancer as the disease that it is. You know what they say" Be careful what you wish for it might just happen. I just hope that when you are cancer free, you will never say that again.
Good luck on your treatments and recovery
And God bless you

Assuming you are a female, you should stay brave and fight it. Cancer is no longer a death sentence and a lot of people do recover from it. As for the wishing thing, now do you believe in karma?

It is curable. Now to fix the disease that says you have to have a disease to get attention. Why not just give love or perform for them or something healthier?
