Go to another doctor or the emergency center of a hospital and have them refer you to see a mental health professional. Anxiety is a recognized disorder and you should be receiving help with it. Also see if you have a Mental Health clinic in your community that can recommend counseling to deal with anxiety disorder sometimes this will work well with a medication regime as well.

Hey Beautiful, (That doctor should lose his licence!) I ended up in the emergency room one night due to a panic attack. The doctor there gave me benadryl interveiniously (sp?) It worked real well for me. He suggested that I take a little before bed to "take the edge off" enough to fall asleep easier. Benadryl is used for alot more than just allergies. Its used for anxiety, behaviors, and sleeping. Just thought I'd pass that along to you.....Hope this helps-anxiety sucks! See yha. Kandice

Sounds like your docotor is not very good or compassionate. Would consult a therapist. My mother has anxiety and she went to a therapist who has done wonders for her. She also tried going to a regular docotor who basically told her she was just making everything up to get meds. I think its important to find a doctor that you fell comfortable with.

Fatigue, insomnia, mental confusion, anxiety, nervousness, mood swings, faintness, headaches, depression, phobias, heart palpitations, a craving for sweets, cold hands and feet, forgetfulness, dizziness, blurred vision, inner trembling, outbursts of temper, sudden hunger, allergies, and crying spells are signs of hypoglycemia.

frankly, I'd fire the doctor, loudly in the middle of his waiting room. Then find a better doctor.
