What do you think is the mark of the beast that Revelations talk about?

Revelation 19:20

20But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.

And he requires everyone—small and great, rich and poor, free and slave—to be given a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark: the beast’s name or the number of his name.

This idea about the forehead or the hand is not unique to Revelation. Moses told the Israelites, “And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart. . . . Thou shalt bind them for a sign on thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes” (Deuteronomy 6:6, 8). Again Moses said, “Therefore shall ye lay up these mine words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes” (Deuteronomy 11:18). What did God intend the Israelites to learn from this? Did the Lord want them to take a fine-point pen and write a whole lot of words on the tiny bit of skin between their eyes above their noses? How could their faces contain the entire book of Deuteronomy? It has thirty-four chapters!

With a little bit of reflection we should be able to understand what this idea of the forehead and hand is really all about. Anciently, God wanted His words on the foreheads of the Israelites. This must mean He wanted them inside of their minds. What about His words on their hands? This must apply to their actions. So, the forehead represents the mind, and the hand represents the actions. That’s simple enough. Therefore,what the book of Revelation is really saying when it speaks of a mark in the forehead or in the hand is that one day the masses of humanity will fully yield their minds and their actions to some specific idea, or tradition, or “mark” that comes from the beast. They will be marked in their minds. Yet God’s true people will see through this deception. Why? Because they have the name of God in their foreheads. (Rev 14:1)

You know there are such thing as loonies out there, who think they see and hear things, that are not really there. There are so many people who do crazy and foolish things. Why are you blaming christians? Because the Bible explains the mark of the beast? This man obviously was living in fear, in fact HE NEEDS JESUS! What if it were some guy who cut off his hand because he said he saw a picture of the stickmoose on it-- would this make him less crazy? Everyday there is someone out there who does something outrageous and it makes the headlines. A mark to allow the followers of the beast (the anti-Christ) to buy and sell.The mark will be on the head or hand.30 years ago people didn't believe that everyone could have a mark that would identify them and allow them to be tracked.It is common knowledge a person today could be tracked anywhere in the world with satellites,cameras,and chip scanners.If the chips aren't the mark they may someday soon have some (maybe already available) technology or biotechnology that everyone will "have" to have.

666 Is the Numerical value of Nero Ceasar.

That is not to say that it is not a warning for us today.

Nero Ceasar represented the world government and its worldly system. He made it against the law to practice Judaism and Christianity. What at that time marked a Jew or a Christian as differant from other people?

The sabbath.

What does the great whore represent, The corrupt church.

What day does the corrupted church worship? Sunday.

What day do the Jews and the few Christians who have proved this out keep? Sabbath, Saturday.

Ex 31:13 "But as for you, speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'You shall surely observe My sabbaths; for this is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you.

Eze 20:12 "Also I gave them My sabbaths to be a sign between Me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD who sanctifies them.

Eze 20:20 'Sanctify My sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the LORD your God.'

Also notice this in Revelation

Re 12:17 So the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

Re 14:12 Here is the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.

Jesus alone will not save you. The torah or the commandments alone won't save you. Who are the saints? Those who have both.

2 Thess 2:8-12 Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because * they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.

Eze 9:4 The LORD said to him, "Go through the midst of the city , even through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the abominations which are being committed in its midst."

Eze 9:6 "Utterly slay old men, young men, maidens, little children, and women, but do not touch any man on whom is the mark ; and you shall start from My sanctuary." So they started with the elders who were before the temple.

The word "mark" in both these scirptures in TAV in the scripture. Tav the letter means mark. Realize that Ezekiel was not written in Modern Hebrew but was written in Paleo-Hebrew and that my friends would make a TAV look like this.

I'm sure a computer chip will play a part, but I think a physical mark will be needed, Since there will be war, then it will be a necessity to identify people without the use of electronics, as computer links will be down, or a neutron bomb that would ruin about anything electronic. So a physical mark would be easy to see. It rill have something to do with the ruler's name.

They are talking about the makings of the anti-christ. The markings of the beast of course is three 6's on some part of the body. If you worship the beast you are destined to burn in hell forever. It is a warning to all christians to keep a watchfull eye and not to full for any of his tricks. 666 stands for the unpure and not completed as the term 7 stands for completed. The beast will bring hell upon earth and all who worship him will be punished. Stay true your religion and you will conquer all evil. God Bless

I believe this refers to something that happeded around 70 CE when the Temple was destroyed the last time. It doesn't mean anything about anyone receiving a mark of the beast today.

I believe it will be a 666 prefix added to all your personal information numbers and encoded on some sort of microchip that will be implanted in your skin. IT would make it easy to carry, easy to use in all possible business transactions, and virtually impossible to imitate or steal. Makes me wonder if that's not what's meant by the part that talks about people "receiving it in their forehead or right hand" as a means of keeping it secure!

The mark of the beast is a pass-code that will allow the damned to buy and sell during the Great Tribulation. This pass-code will be on the right hand or the forehead.

I think it is an identity chip with the numbers representing 666 or 18 (3X6). To be inserted in the back of hand or forhead. And the number is ones mailing zip code (9 numbers) plus ones social security number (9 numbers). And this is 18 numbers and on record in a 'beast' computer in Belgium.
