Laminate countertops...do you have to pre-order or...?

does the home improvement stores have them in stock so you can pick them out and take them home?

In stock item. They come in various lengths so you buy one longer than you need and cut it to fit. Most are priced by the foot but sold in standard lengths. You will have to choose from what they have in stock or wait for a special order.

They have to be fitted and installed at the job site from standard widths and lengths in stock.
