You can absolutely take food with you. The restrictions only pertain to gels/liquids that weight 3.4oz or more (have to be in a quart-size ziplock bag). Therefore you will not be able to bring any drinks with you. You wil have to wait until you pass thru security and buy a drink at a shop or wait until you get served on the flight. Any perfumes, sprays, etc must be in this quart size bag. What I usually do is I bring an empty travel bottle and fill it with water from the drinking fountain after I pass through security. Happy travels!

For your gel, spray on, toothpaste, any liquid stuff, etc....put them in a clear plastic bag like ziplock back or something. Usually TSA will provide you with that. Make sure you keep them in a very accessable area that way you can take them out easily. Now as far as drinks, as far as I know you can't pass through security screening area with it. If you are thirsty, just buy a bottle at boarding area. Check this TSA site before you go.

Have a nice flight.
P.S: If you are in doubt, put it in your baggage that will you checked in. That's what I do.

take a glance on the TSA website. It explains the save on regs exceptionally lots. makeup will basically be a difficulty f it truly is liquid and greater that 3 oz.. you may basically take one a million qt length bag of beverages on a airplane with you as save on, yet you may examine as much as you % as long because it truly is not flammable.
