Were you surprised to discover Paris Hilton is a Roman Catholic? Did you see her on Larry King Live say that? Will there be a mass exodus from the Catholic Church? Since I was raised Catholic K-12 will Catholics spare me the overreactions? Will there be a marked decline in parents sending their kids to Catholic schools now that the entire world knows Paris went to Catholic schools as a kid?

Ah! Why is JPII even on that list? I'm not a Catholic and I love the man. He was a great person and a great scholar, and believed in peace. He built many bridges.
So, without a doubt, the answer is Paris Hilton. If she is a catholic, she's not a very good one.

How is Pope John Paul 2 an embarassment? He did his job well IMO.
The biggest embarassment to Catholics is Benedict XVI, because while what Paris did isn't really going to make a big impact, the Pope has control of the WHOLE WORLD!
and if you are bad at being pope, like Benedict is, a whole world of Christianity will suffer.

I don't think any one will care.
I am Catholic and I don't really care.
This won't influence my religion at all.
Also, anyone can change and be a Christian.
Why would Pope John Paul II or Pope Benedict XVI be an embarrassment to the Catholic Church. Our current Pope is a good Pope and Pope John Paul II was a good Pope.

To be a RC, you have to suspend all disbelief. I'm not a RC but it was disbelief when I viewed the video of Paris not doing it missionary style and it didn't look like what she was doing had anything to do with procreation.
The High Command of the Third Reich should have been an embarrassment to the Vatican, but it wasn't. Adolf Hitler is who I would pick. Never Excommunicated.

Religion is an embaressment to itself ... The BS I hear coming out of people mouths, the books, and their stupid beliefs are embaressing enough! paris hilton isn't gonna make it any worse at least she's not molesting little boys like some devout religious men ...

Remember that Britney what's her name's mother claimed that Britney was a good little Baptist girl and read her Bible every night.
So claiming to be a Christian, of whatever denomination, does not make you or me or anyone else a Christian.
What makes someone a Christian is their relationship with Jesus Christ.
