I am going to give my flower girl and ring bearer a personalized piggy bank each! I think I will get a white ceramic one and personalized each with stuff they like (ie, the flower girl can have a princess design and the ring bearer a sports design, both with their names on it).

I am also planning on providing wedding day activities for all the kids at my wedding so they could be entertained. If you are only having these kids at your wedding, you can make this part of your gift!

I bought my flower girl and ring bearer each an inexpensive engraved item from things remembered. Then I got them each a gift certificate at "Build a Bear." This way, they will have a memento to have for the long term, but also something they will enjoy now.

I love the music box idea for the flower girl!

I had gotten all the girls in my party a jewelry box set that included a small heart shaped box, a candle holder and a ring holder. For the flower girls I took the candle out and put in jelly beans. This way it made them feel like they were just as important as the 'big girls'.

For a ring bearer I think I would look in to getting him a 'treasure box' , maybe a wooden one lined in felt. The kind that boys always keep under their bed with their trading cards and frogs in!

You don't necessarily have to get something formal and 'wedding related'. We're getting our ring bearer Guitar Hero, and the flower girl a bunch of Dora and Barbie stuff. I also got the little girl pearl earings and a pearl bracelet. I think the piggy bank is overrated.

Good luck! :)

Hi, how about personalized books? Kids love to read/hear their own name in the storyline. Go to this website http://www.tlc-expressions.com They have lots of titles like Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, Ballerina Princess, Little Mermaid, Beauty & the Beast, Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo, Dinosaur Land, Sports titles and so many more. Check it out - they're very reasonably priced, and make a wonderful, unique & special gift... It's something they can enjoy now and keep forever!! Good Luck!

I didn't spend alot on my flower girls and ring bearer. All I got my girls was a Barbie doll and the little boy a set of cars. I would not spend very much on them. How unique are you wanting the gift for a 5&6 year old?

Two people mentioned giving them something to do at the wedding, this is a FABULOUS idea! It keeps them occupied and is something different they can play with/do. If you include some toys or coloring books you can also include something more meaningful like a personalized bank or something of that nature.

Good luck!

Our flower girl and ring bearer love their build a bears(http://www.buildabear.com/) . So since they already have the bears, we bought them flower girl and ring bearer outfits for the bears. They loved them!

I bought my nephew (ringbearer) and the little girl that was our flower girl each a bag of various toys to play with so they weren't bored silly at the rehearsal. I also got my nephew who loves trains a littel silver train that is a piggy bank from Things Remembered in the mall. I had his name engraved on it too. I got the little girl, whose name is Kameron, a little bracelet with a heart charm that I had engraved with a "K".
