My hamster has scruffy tuffs coming out around where the tail is. What should I do? Is he a long hair or does he learn how to trim? What do I do?

If it seems like it is bothering him then i would go to a petstore and ask about it and what you can do! Another thing you can do is call a vet and see if you need to cut it or not! Hope this helps!!!

I suppose if the hair is matted, and knotted, that you ask another person to hold him very firmly (not hurting him, but keeping him still) and take mustache scisors to the matts of fur. Be EXTREMELY carefull whilst doing this, you don't want to cut him . We do this two both of my pets, and they are fine.
I hope this helps you, good luck, God Bless.

ask a vet, i'm sure they can tell you how to trim the hair if the hamster doesn't do it him/herself
