August 6 (civic holiday)
Sept 3 (labor day)

Those dates are correct, BUT, not every province has a civic holiday that weekend, it is only Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario and Nova Scotia.
If you not in that province or area travelling to one of those listed, civic hoildays due incur some closures like banks and govenment offices, grocery stores, liquor and beer stores are generally open and there is no mail dleivery.
