You didn't win.

It's a common scam.

Why do you believe email from some random stranger using a free Yahoo email address that you won a lottery when you didn't even buy a ticket?

Nope its a scam, if you didn't enter any sweepstakes or lottery then you didn't win anything. I got scammed 2x- the first I was sent a letter by mail saying that the phone company entered me to a sweepstakes & I won a few hundred thousand dollars- & when I call I had to supposly pay to obtain the certificate because the $$$ was in a secure account and cannot be touched- so I send them 2,000 at first that my husband had to borrow from his boss and then they were asking for more & we couldn't find the way to get the money so I did a little research online & found out they were scammers. I was so pist off- We lost 2,000 & on top of everything we needed $$$ at the time & NOW 2 cause its been 6 months & we're still paying my hubby's boss. The 2nd time I got scammed I lost my bank account with bank of america. Scammers send me a check of few thousand dollars & a letter saying I have won few hundred thousand dollars as well & they said to deposit the enclosed check & mailed them half, so they can send me the other part of the $$$ I won. I deposit the freaken check- the bank gives me $500 up front- I go shopping & spend the $$$- a week later they said the check didn't clear because it was false check, so the canceled my account + now I owe $500 to the damn bank too. I'm telling you- I hate scammers with a passion. BEWARE of them Money-Hungry-Freaks. I had to learn the hard way...A real company will email you with a real account not yahoo account first of all. If you didn't enter any sweepstakes or lottery then you didn't win. In order to get your winnings you dont have to pay a single penny out of your pocket, they take out the fees & taxes out of your winnings before they hand them to you. They'll try everything possible to contact you over the phone, or by letter with at least a toll free #- not a cell phone or prepaid phone. I hope this helps... Good luck!

The irish lottery would not use a yahoo email account, this is clearly a scam.

This is a scam. If you didn't enter the lottery you didn't win. This type of scam has been reported on the news for a few months now.
