you are first off, clearly biased against rosenhaus in this question, and second off, fairly uneducated about the majority of his clients a fair number of his clients are star players, and those are the players for whom he establishes million dollar deals and gets in the headlines...and he's only doing what he is paid by his clients to do, and that is get them the best possible deal...he's the best at what he does and certainly that does not make him a leech who hurts the sports world and it will never come to the point where average people would be priced out, because if that were true attendance would be so low that the franchises and league would lose money anyways and have to bring the prices down to fill the seats

Leaches do not carry disease. They don't hurt until you pull them off. The bites itch afterward and can bleed. I recommend pouring salt on one before pulling it off, it will help the leach detatch and not cause as much pain.

If you are swimming in a river or lake or any open freshwater body you can get leaches.

If you go swimming in a river where the sewer empties you are setting yourself up for infection and disease. Waste water carries all sorts of bacteria that can cause things like skin infections, eye and ear infections, fungal infections and the like. You can catch diseases like Hepatitis or get infection of Staph or Pneumonia. Not healthy! Always make sure the water has passed the quality checks before you swim!

What Do Leeches Do

You wont get disease from a leach, however the wound is likely to get infected.

to remove a leach you can simply burn it with a cigarette or cigar. You can also pour salt on them ad they will let go.
Just dont try to pull them out, that can be painful.

I wouldn't even go near a river with sewage pouring into it.

No, they only suck your blood but as long as they don't get too much they are harmless. Yes, annoyingly enough you can. Deffinately, so be careful!
