Wearing hijaab is not difficult. The hardest part is keeping up my best behavior so as to reflect well upon my religion. Occassionally I get some ignorant comments (e.g. are you a cancer patient?, do you speak english?) or some racist treatment. That can be difficult and tiring. It is hard to keep patient in those circumstances. However, as a white girl in America, I never had to deal with racism directed at me until I took up the hijaab. But people of color have to deal with that every day no matter how they dress, so I'll cope with my small share of it.

I think that I would never be able to wear the full face veil. It's just too much for me. As it is, I don't cover my feet and ankles and sometimes I open my neck and just leave my hair covered. But the niqab (burqa) is not required by the religion.

All those reasons are understandable, every Muslim woman might have those words pass through their lips at one time or another. But those are no reasons to simply abandon it. With great victory comes great sacrifice. For the most part, those reasons go away with time. Experience would allow one to become more accustomed to the intricacies of it.
I greatly admire those who do wear the Niqab because it shows just how courageous they are. Courage comes in many forms, the slightest courage is manifest through physical contests. However, the veil is a subtle message that requires the greatest courage to deliver.
The veil, in it of itself, greatly humbles the wearer. Not only this, but it forces others to judge her only off her personality. The society we live in, and pardon the use of the rather crass term, is a sexual one. Where people only look upon women as an idol of beauty. And this is true. Because if it were false, people would not so viciously assail the veil despite all the benefits it provides.

Hijab is not that difficult at all, if you have the conviction. In fact, I feel more liberated.

Plus, niqaab and abaya/burhka are not compulsary.

The answer is obviously YES it is difficult. Why would so many reasons be given if it was easy and embraced/accepted?

Gee, I'm not any religion, but men whose wives are totally covered up while they wear shorts and a muscle shirt, really make me want to slap them. All that junk muslim women wear is yet another way of telling them they aren't people, but property.

I think it's the beatings that result from not practicing them that they might find difficult to take.
