I use Window's Vista as my operating system. Will I have trouble installing an IPOD if I bought one?

you don't install the ipod, you install itunes. itunes talks to the ipod via a USB port. The current version of iTunes is Vista compatible. Suggest you download the current itunes from www.apple.com and not install the version that comes on CD with the iPod.

iTunes/iPod does work on Windows Vista, although the installing for iTunes has a small complication. If one goes to the Apple web site and downloads iTunes, when installing, iTunes occasionally gives an error about VBScript. This is because of the way Windows Vista handles application extentions (.dll files). To fix this problem follow these steps.

1. Go to the Start Menu-->All Programs-->Accessories and Right-Click on "Command Prompt.
2. Choose "Run As Administrator"
3. Either type in an Admin password or click Continue in the security dialogue that pops up.
4. In the black-backgrounded window, type "cd c:\windows\system32" without the quotes. Press enter
5. Next, type "regsvr32 vbscript.dll" again without quotes. Press enter.
6. Close that window, run the iTunes installer

No you won't have trouble installing An iPod in windows vista

But you want to check you have the latest iTunes program and vista running with the latest updates.

Also be patient, the iTunes on windows vista tends to freeze for a couple of seconds for no apparent reason then unlocking.

Also the Win Vista has this glitch in which your iPod dissapears and the iTunes is frozen. if that happens just unplug the iPod and replug it again

This has only happened to me with an iPod shuffle 512 mbs, (first gen) and so forth, no iPod whatever owner that I know has had the same issue.

have fun.

You shouldn't jsut go download itunes for free and see if it works alright. If it does, go buy an ipod. I haven't seen any problems as of yet though.
