What sort of restrictions are placed on someone when they are on probation?

It is not me who might possibly be on probation- just a close friend. But thanks for the answers so far. They are very Helpful!

Probation normally involves regular "reporting" to the probation office, restrictions from socializing with any other probationer, having any involvement with further illegal activities, or becoming involved in any other activity that COULD lead to compromising your probation.

Getting drunk or high is prohibited as well!

If on probation now...you SHOULD have been provided with a list of what you can and cannot do!

You will meet with a Probation Officer(PO) and given a list that you will have to sign that shows what you cannot do during the time of your probation.

No drinking, No drugs, no driving w/o a license and maintain being employed or completing you education are just a few. And any time you have contact with the Police for any reason, you have to report it to your PO. And yes, they can dictate to you who you can ahng out with as well.

Good Luck! Because if you screw it up, the PO can send you back to Jail.
