I woke up (in my dream) and i tried to get up, but i couldn't. I felt tired and paralyzed. I looked to the corner of my room, and something started approaching me. (a tall, dark figure. For some reason, i felt it was male). I tried to call for my mom. No one else but my mom, and i couldn't find my voice. It wasn't that i didn't have a mouth, it was just that i couldn't speak. As it got closer i tried to pinch myself. (this was one of those extremely few dreams i have where i know im asleep). but i still couldn't move. Finally, as it got to the side of my bed, i started to scream, but woke up. What does it mean?

I analyze my dreams alot. Dont take what I say as professional advice. I would like to say maybe it means you feel like you arent in control of a situation. Maybe you feel helpless. You scream for your mom as a natural reaction to when you feel weak. I've had a dream like this. I knew I was sleeping and I couldnt scream or yell in my dream either. I was feeling pretty anxious in life.

If this just happens once, I won't worry. Sometimes when our body has some problem, that will cause dream of something weird and vice versa. However...

Dark, tall male figure = fear, insecure, high authority figure you do not like
Can't find your mouth or call = losing control

To many, you may seem to be losing control in reality. This may be due to fear. It seems it is a fear of unknown. However, this hints that you may have issues about your privacy. You are feeling insecure because you feel like your privacy level has been invaded. By whom you may ask. That is what dark male figure comes about. This may be an actual figure, a person that once lurked into your life and your subconscious mind. It could be some sort of high authority figure, boss, teacher, cops and so on. By projecting dark tall figure could symbolize something in life you feel helpless about and that is why you find you fear from.

In conclusion, like I said before, if it is a one time thing, I won't worry. But if you keep having similar dream, you had better examine your life to find out exactly what you have fear for and insecure about

To dream that you are paralyzed, may reflect the current state of your body while you are dreaming. During the REM state of sleep you really are immobile and paralyzed. However symbolically, dreaming that you are paralyzed may mean you are feeling helpless or pinned down in some aspect or circumstances of your waking life. You may feel unable to deal with a situation or that you can't do or change anything. Alternatively, you may feel emotionally paralyzed. You may have difficulties in expressing yourself.
To dream that you are immobile, signifies feelings of being trapped or that you are rigid in your attitudes and decisions.
If you try to scream, but no sound comes out, then is suggests that you need to immediately confront some situation. Perhaps you are unable to pinpoint your fears or feelings.
To see mysterious figures in your dream, signifies great mental distress.

No, you encountered a demonic spirit. They are very real. When they come into people's rooms they bring the presence of "fear" with them. The reason you experience paralysis is because you are paralyzed by the fear these spirits bring with them. Only through the power of Jesus Christ can these spirits be dealt with. It is the only Name that demons will submit to.
