2. Not any more, they got lost in my recent move, with a whole other box of books (damn it!)

5. Nothing big, except that one time I broke my arm falling off the slide.

6 "will ceased"? Anyway, I dont' think the God of Genesis could exist, but I don't necessarily think belief in him will cease either.

I'm agnostic and going to answer because the generalization applies to me as well.

1. Have you ( I believe you had ) had read OT/NT. How many time and How long ago. Yes...twice (just to make sure I was reading it right) about 17 years ago...I don't think I need a refresher.

2. Have you had OT/NT @ your home. LOL no. I do occasionally look some stuff on the Internet bible.

3. Have you had other religion/atheist books. Could you kindly list.
I have some of Dawkins books...stuff like the Selfish Gene and God Delusion. I have a lot of stuff marked in my favorites on the net...articles and what not on different religions.
I have a book on the "religions of the worlds" and one on the "history of religion". I have a book on the Amish. I dont know the exact titles of these books as I read them a long time ago. (over a year) I have a lot of books on religion now that I thnk about it. LOL I used to write term papers for money and actually got a lot of customer base from theology students.

4. What is your highest education ( if you don't mind ), and which year.
I have an AAS in Occupational therapy. (1999) I need about 6 hours to complete a BA in General Studies minor in Psychology. I also have a lot of credits that dont amount to anything towards a degree...I just took them for the hell of it...I know Im a nerd!!

5. Did you encounter any BIG trouble before you became atheist.
Big trouble...no not really. I mean my childhood sucked...but hey life goes on.

6. Do you think life of God of Genesis will ceased in 21st century.
No I think that religion is going to stick around like cockroaches.

I'm not an atheist, however, I do not believe in the Christian form of spirituality. Some have called me an atheist on yahoo, for stating my beliefs which are contrary to fundamental Christianity. Fine by me.

I believe god(s) exist(s) as a matter of reasonable deduction. I accept that I do not know for sure therefore I do not make assumptions based on blind faith teachings. The bible, which I own in my home..both OT and NT...is not credible or reasonable in my opinion. It is however, an interesting insight into the mind of 1st century scholars, with many semi-accurate historical representations of events past. I've read both, off and on...almost all the way through. They are pretty much the same with minor differences / language.

I own a book on existentialism which I think fits my beliefs fairly closely.

I also have the entire volume of Encyclopedia Britanica.. :)

AA degree...community college... 1999 :(

I think mankind is doomed at some point...21st century...can't say for sure, but all things which begin must end. The prediction of such an event is merely a prediction of the inevitable. For instance..I predict that another major earthquake will hit LA within the next ten years...(inevitability)...and a major hurricane will hit FL.

1.) Yes, several times. I don't have a specific count. I have studied the Bible with religious study groups, alone, and at the university level.

2.) I have 3 translations of the Bible, one of which is on the computer.

3.) Well, I own a lot of books and don't really feel like going through all of them. I know that I own the Bhagavad-Gita, a translation of the Quran, a book on Confuscianism, the writings of C.S. Lewis, a book on women in Biblical times, several books on paganism, the Talmud, and I think I have the Book of Mormon somewhere. There's probably more but that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

4.) I have a Bachelor's degree in English.

5.) I don't really know what you mean by this.

6.) I don't really get this one either. If you mean, do I think that the Abrahamic god will be considered mythology by most people in the 21st century, I have to say that I really don't know. It seems unlikely that such a thing will occur in my lifetime, as there is still such a large population of believers.

1) Yes. At least 5 times, but not since high school. About 8 years ago.

2) In high school. Not since.

3) Sure. Lots of them now - mostly atheism and secular humanism. Too many to list.

4) Finishing a PhD in physics.

5) Nope. Just realized that there was no evidence for a god and felt kinda cheated that no one had ever said this before.

6) No. Seems to hang on pretty well. There will always be superstitious, gullible people.

Yes, Sporadically over the years.

Yes

The only atheist book I have is The God Delusion. I have The blind Watchmaker and A brief History of Time, and a few others. But those explain the natural world, they do not say 'god does not exist'.

BSc on Electrical Engineering + Math. 1985

No. I always was one.

He never existed in the first place. Will people stop believing that Geneisis is litteral? I hope so.

1 Yes
2 No
3 BoM, Qu'ran
4 High School. I meant to go to college but we started up a business that turned out to be quite lucrative and I never got around to it. I have a fake "engineer" title where I work now. Nothing but excuses.
5 I have lead a semi-charmed life.
6 I don't think the god of Genesis exists right now. I see you really meant will it be classified a myth (I suspected you did) No, people will hang on to them. Some people need religion to function and what would replace it?

1. Yes, twice, once when I was 12, again in my 30s (I'm 52 now)
2. Not since I grew up - but I have a copy of it & various other texts on my computer for reference.
3. Too many to list. Ranging from Asimov to Dawkins to Gould to Sagan, and beyond.
4. M.A. in 1993; ABD in 1996.
5. No.
6. I'm not sure I understand this one. I don't believe a god exists, that one or any other. However, I doubt that belief in gods will cease anytime soon; such superstition is too ingrained in our culture to disappear so quickly.
