Yea I know that everyone has heard of them but what I really want to know is why Christians and others, who believe the words of the Bible are truth, are under the notion that the Ten Commandments apply to them?
G-d gave the Torah, Bible, Old Testament to the Jews on Mount Sinai with all 613 commandments for ONLY the Jews to follow. The Ten Commandments have never and will never apply to anyone else.
I'd really like to know where Christians get this idea that "Oh we have to follow the Bible...and Oh, the Bible says....." if ya'll really have to follow it then how come Christians don't sit in Booths on the Feast of the Tabernacle or not eat leavened bread on Passover or work and cook on the Sabbath?
Hell, even your Jesus said that the laws in the Old Testament are forever binding yet none of you Christians abide by them. The reason you don't have to is because you’re not Jewish and therefore nothing in the Old Testament applies to you.

The Seven Noahide Laws
While Jews are commanded to observe hundreds of laws, non-Jews are expected to follow seven that are presumed to date from the time of Noah. Judaism regards any non-Jew who keeps these laws as a righteous person who is guaranteed a place in the world to come.
1. Not to deny God.
2. Not to blaspheme God.
3. Not to murder.
4. Not to engage in incestuous, adulterous, bestial or homosexual relationships.
5. Not to steal.
6. Not to eat a limb torn from a living animal.
7. To set up courts to ensure obedience to the other six laws.
I'd really like to know where Christians get the notion that the Ten Commandments apllies to them

The 10 Commandments are also known as The Decalogue, they are a group of laws given by God on Mount Sinai to Moses. They tell us how to live our lives morally and spiritually in accordance with G-d.
There is no mention that it applies only to Jews. It is how EVERYONE should live their life - both morally and spirtually in accordance with G-d.
In Wikipedia it says:
The Ten Commandments, or Decalogue, are a list of religious and moral imperatives which, according to Biblical tradition, were written by God and given to Moses on Mount Sinai in the form of two stone tablets.
They feature prominently in
---> Judaism and Christianity. <---
The phrase "Ten Commandments" generally refers to the very similar passages in Exodus 20:2-17 and Deuteronomy 5:6-21, but is used by some to refer to the so-called "Ritual Decalogue" from Exodus 34.

As far as the Bible, or what others call the NT - it doesn't exist. We know it's re-written text of the Old Testament for those who didn't exactly like or approve of the OT, and they warped the words to adhere to their points of view.

If you have chosen not to believe the Bible, why does this concern you? And how could you possibly know what christians abide by? Why would that concern you, anyway? Live your life the way you choose to and allow christians that same courtesy. The Jews are decendents of the house of Judah, which is only one of the 12 tribes of the Nation of Isreal. At least understand that. Furthermore, the laws of God apply to both the Nation of Isreal and Christians, who are co-heirs with them. And whether you accept it or not, Go's law also applies to you; or hadn't you heard that the wages of sin is death!

Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
The ten commandments seem to easily be covered by these two commandments, that seem pretty obvious to me. So if christians are following the ten commandments, no harm done.

The Ten Commandments point to Jesus today.
Galatians 3:24
Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
God laid down the laws and intended for us to obey them. Sin literally means to miss the mark. When we sin we are missing the mark and not living by the commandments. The Bible tells us that we all sin.
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
That is why God sent Jesus. Jesus was perfect, He never broke any commandments, and He never missed the mark. To save us Jesus took all of our sin upon Himself and completely separated Himself from God. Three days later He rose again and created a way for all of us to come to God; through Him. As a Christian I can show my love for God by keeping His commandments.
1 John 5:3
For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

If you have read the New Testament Jesus also gave the 10 Commandments to the Apostles and said if you love me follow my Commandments. And being Jesus is God the 10 Commandments apply to all who follow Jesus/God.
The TEN COMMANDMENTS that God gave first to the people of Israel embody all of the 613 plus commandments in the Law of God.
THE NEW ADDITIONAL COMMANDMENT OF GOD TO THE 613 COMMANDMENTS
“A new commandment I give to you, that YOU LOVE ONE ANOTHER; even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:34-35, RSV).
Jesus Christ had given the commandment above to His true and faithful disciples for He knew that the Jewish people during the first century had an unwarranted and grave hatred for each other that led to the destruction of the Temple of God in the Holy City of Jerusalem.

There are thousands of commandments. The old testament was for the Jews prophesy to be fullfilled. It told of the comming of Christ. Needless to say, they did not accept Christ. Jesus taught the New Testament and brought about many changes to the old.
Some examples: Women are to learn in silence.
It is a shame for a woman to shave her head, her hair is her covering. It is a shame for a man to have long hair.
Read it for yourself.
We no longer have a tabernacle or temple. We have gatherings just like in the New Testament.

I'd also like to know what supposedly happens to goyim who do not keep Noahide, as I myself do not. In fact, I break at least three of them on a fairly regular basis. Though, I am an atheist, not a Christian, but, still goyim.

I suppose because Jesus told his followers (as reported in the Gospels) that he has made the Torah obsolete R"L.
You must understand that Jesus and his pals wanted to appeal to the gentiles and assumed that such people would not want to observe mitzvot.
