Oh, my! Don't even get me started!
Why are Christians divorcing, even though the Bible is clear that God hates it?
This is easy! First, the Bible is rarely taught these days. And when it is, they preach a greasy grace, or sloppy agape.
People look at the Bible with a smorgasbord mentality. "Oooh! I'll have some of that forgiveness and grace, but I'll leave the vegetables (discipline) out, since I hate that stuff!"
Many Christians have bought into the world (and Satan's) lie that love is an emotion, and that when the "feelings" are gone, divorce must occur.
Jesus never said that love was an emotion; it is a decision of the will. When Jesus said that people could only divorce for infidelity, He meant it. But nowadays, people excuse their sin, by saying, "It's all forgiven by the blood of Christ!" and thus cheapen the sacrifice He made.
Gee, with that mentality, I can excuse any sin I want to indulge in! But then, I would be going against what Paul said, "What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!" (Romans 6:15)
Naturally, there are situations that divorce is allowable, but I'd bet that these are rare in the Christian community. Most are because people just quit trying.
UPDATE: Here's a link from the Barna Polling Group that shows Christians divorcing at the same rate as unbelievers. (Not half but 35% of each)

I am married, and will be forever to my wonderful hubby of almost 26 years- however even as Christians, divorce happens, because we are just saved, not perfect yet- There are Christians that divorce over things like "I just don't love you anymore"- etc- however there are people who marry and a spouse becomes physically abusive- do you think God would want you stay with someone who could kill you? I don't think so- and also it never ceases to amaze me that a murderer who has accepted Christ is forgiven- but a person who gets a divorce is plagued as a sinner forever. Sad!! I am not saying that Christians should get divorces, it is wrong, however I am saying that divorce can be forgiven.

Well, not all Christians are obedient Christians. God doesn't want divorse.
But many married Christian couples don't put God first, then each other, then their children, then their career. So? many married Christians divorse.
If you just look at obedient Christians, who do not forsake gathering together with the Saints, etc..., you will find that these obedient Christians have far fewer divorces. And if both are obedient to their best ability, there would be 0 divorses.

Lots of people today don't take vows and commitment seriously. When you unite as one through the eyes of the Lord, that is sacred, something to be preserved and cherish til death do you part. Some people get married to say that they are married while some others have underlying intentions for marriage.

The honest answer to this question is that Christians are not perfect and we sadly continue to sin. We live in a world that preaches that the purpose of life is our own happiness. Too often we give in to the values of the world. That doesn't make it right - but thank God who gave his son to forgive our foolish ways.

The Bible does not say that it is a sin. If there is adultery or abuse, divorce is fine.
Where did you get those statistics? Half the Christians are divorcing?
Can you provide a link for these "facts"?

You will not find that in the Bible. It would be nice if they could stay married. Divorce is allowed. There are situations where divorce is best. This is
NOT
an ideal world.

Because there is a difference between claiming to being a Christian and following what the bible says.

Over half of christians are either married to non-believers, or have been converted into christianity and are no longer bound by their marriage vows. Of course, if you'd actually read the Bible, you'd know this.
