Why is a minute 60 seconds?
Why are we called humans?
...We just are!
Maybe a day was billions of years, then.
Maybe a day was a minute.
Maybe seconds was a whole year.
Nobody knows.

Nowhere in the bible does it say that He needed seven days. Rather, He was trying to set a precedent for people to follow of six days of work and one day of rest.

You have that wrong. He made it in six days and rested on the seventh. He could have made it in one day if He had wanted to, but He chose to do so in six.
