Because it was not steroids ,it was his warped sense of God and Religion,I don.t see this any other way. He left his clue.

I think that with in his steroid rage which may or may not be true(have to wait for results)I think a slight bit of clarity came thru and placed the bibles there because he wanted Jesus to take care of them. From everything I have read this ordeal went on for 3 days before he ended his life. He may have prayed over his wife and son and placed the bibles there when he was done.

EDIT: For Romans, the type of steroids given to cancer patients or those with asthma are totally different then the steroids that weight lifters take. Anabolic steroids contain testosterone which if given in large amounts will cause rage. Its the same as with some rapists they get to much testosterone in their systems naturally and it will cause rage, which would also show why some rapists kill or badly abuse their victims

The guy obviously had serious emotional issues - maybe that was his way of asking for forgiveness. Only God knows what was in his heart for sure...

And I don't buy the "it was the steroids" excuse. I know several people who had to take steroids when they were fighting brain tumors or cancer, and NONE of them murdered their families as a result.

I really am not judging anyone, but this guy was crying for help, and those left behind need to stop making excuses and deal with the truth! He is responsible for what he did..my heart aches for everyone involved - including the wrestler who for whatever reason felt compelled to do what he did.

Chris Benoit and his wife may have been having marital problems. Chris may have taken too many steriods, which contributed to his rage. What the Bibles have to do with the tragedy is anyone's guess at this point.

The WWE, and that idiot McMahon, also released a ststement that IT WASNT STEROIDS!, before the toxicological data! HE was asked straight out about the comment and pretty much ignored the question!

So there is a coverup, and Im guessing that he flipped out in some sort of Revelation-induced paranoia. I find that Revelation drives alot of people crazy.............. (people that are already crazy).

Steroids never pay............... poor kids, poor family! Very evil things they are!

Possibly,he believed in God and considered it to be an act of providing a safe passage for his family into eternal life. I do not know if he had a relationship with Jesus Christ...at this point it is certainly just speculation.

Maybe in his warped thinking, he thought that would make God think they were Christians and let them into heaven. You cant fool God, but I know that the child went to heaven, I don't know if the wife was saved or not.

Who knows? The man committed a henious crime and he'll have to pay for it, no matter how many Bible's he left at their feet.
