Having a son in the military means alot to me. Trust me, he does not want to die, but he is willing too, so that, people like yourself can sit back and enjoy your soft life. So sit back and enjoy your life and dont worry about anything happening to you here in the USA, (because we are all safe here, right?). Our fighting military will make sure that you can enjoy your life, and YES he is willing to die to protect you.

Yes and no.
Yes, they joined the military to protect our freedom.
No, they do not WANT to die. But they are WILLING to die for us.
Yes, the number of our dead is minimal when compared to other wars.
Should we pull out now (or in March 08, as Pelosi says)? NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! If we pull out of there any time soon, I believe that the entire Middle East would be overrun by radicals, and we would never get out from under terrorists. We do need to do more diplomacy though.

50 Americans dead in a war is a low number compared to other loses we've taken but make no mistake it's not without significance. I don't think they wanted to "die" for our freedoms, they just happened to.

July 1 - British casualties on the first day were 57,470 (19,240 killed and 38,230 wounded).

That is 19,240 men killed in one 24 hour period.

None of the young men wanted to die but they were prepared to give their lives to stop the Germans taking over Europe, the same as 20 years later their children were willing to do the same again.

Firstly, any one life given in Iraq has been to much, the Iraqi's deserve nothing more than to be left to get on with it, they have not stepped up to the mark and met any bench marks that they promised, our troop's should not be in Iraq for one more second, because we cannot force something on them they do not want, they are illiterates who haven't yet figured out that FREEDOM is a beautiful thing, there whole infrastructure is corrupt and riddled with "IRAQI" freedom fighters, who hate us and persistently have refused to listen to reason, so my opinion? fvck em! get our troop's out now.

"GOD BLESS OUR TROOP'S"

Jack, DO NOT BELITTLE the sacrifice my brothers are making.

They fought and sacrificed and took these risks so that you could be protected. If you are not willing to take up the cause, please be so diligent as to learn who the enemy is. If you are so lazy that you refuse to find out what Al Qaeda wants to do to you, please, sit back, enjoy your AC, the comfort of your wife, and watch your TV and LET US DO THE JOB YOU WON'T.
