This is my favorite dressing: Olive oil, Red wine vinegar in 1/3 of the amount of the olive oil, tablespoon of dijon, a little lemon juice, some honey to make the dressing thicker and to sweeten it. Salt and pepper. Enjoy.

This is all normal stuff
HOMEMADE SALAD DRESSING
In a blender, put 1/2 cup onion, 1/4 cup vinegar, 3/4 cup oil, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, dash of celery seed and 3/4 cup ketchup. Blend until smooth. I use sugar substitute.
For an oriental flavor, instead of celery seeds, use 1/4 cup soy sauce, 3 cloves garlic and 1 tablespoon sesame oil.

Ranch Dressing
2 Cups Mayo
1/2 Cup Sour Cream
1-1/2 Cups Milk or Buttermilk
(or enough to make it the consistancy you like)
Garlic Powder to Taste
Onion Powder to Taste
Dill to Taste
Parsley to Taste
Salt & Pepper to Taste
Whisk together - chill & store in the fridge.
Makes 1 quart of dressing.
Great for salads or if you make it thicker - dipping or as a sandwich spread.

I always have a bottle of blue sauce dressing hiding in the fridge to splash over my salad. Very good on baked spuds as well.

What I make sometimes, Sour cream, peeled and chop a cucumber, take out the seeds from it. Salt and Pepper. Garlic salt. You can either use cilantro, or Dill for spice. A squirt of lemon juice. Or even lemon pepper seasoning.
I am not one for measurements. I never measure unless I am baking.

Try lemons and limes. I like cider vinegar. Also love adding garlic paste or fresh chillies. Lots of black pepper. Balsamic vinegar is also good.
