This wasn't discussed when you made the plans to go out for a drink?

If he thinks it's lame, then he's definitely not good enough for you and you should dump him immediately! Only a really horrible boy friend would think your lame if you don't drink. Suggest to go somewhere else, or, just stick with what you like. If Orange Juice or Coke is what you like, then go ahead and get that.

I really don't think that you should be concerned about whether people think you are lame for not drinking. If you want to "fit in", ask for club soda or tonic with a lime. It looks like a mixed drink but isn't. Otherwise, do your thing without any concern about what others think. If he's a good guy, he will respect your decisions. If he's a creep, he'll think you're lame and you're better off without him.

Anyone who thinks someone who doesn't drink alcohol is lame is mentally deficient. You wouldn't want someone like that anyway.

"Arnold Palmer,” half iced tea, half lemonade.

Ask for sparkling mineral water with a twist of lemon.

Or request club soda with a splash of cranberry juice and lime.

Ginger ale is nice.

Iced coffee is good.

Well if he thinks you're lame, then HE'S the lame one! Order an Arnie Palmer. It's just half iced tea, half lemonade. And it *looks* like an alcoholic drink, sort of like a Long Island Iced Tea.

Don't worry about him. If he thinks it's lame then find someone else.

Order a ginger ale. Great drink for a non-drinker to have at a party. Kinda looks alcoholic.

Hi I dont thin he will think your lame it will porbably be impressed by it and see you as more of a lady than after one drink you start acting like a fool.

Just get what you would normally get, and just say you dont drink alcohol. Simple as that.
I hope you have a great time!

What's important is that you can be yourself on a date or anywhere else. Order what you like. If he's a good guy he'll appreciate you regardless of you having an alcoholic drink or not. Enjoy your date.

I'm 20 and havent drank alchol in just over a year. When I told people I didn't drink they usually were shocked and kind of didn't believe me. I think that your date may be a little shocked also but if their half desent they wont mind at all. If they do its there loss. I usually drink a J2O when I'm out. Or try Britvic.

Nope he wont, i drink coke all the time, hardly drink alchohol unless on a night out or wine with a meal. More sensible not to drink anyway, its his problem if he thinks its lame!

Alot of places now sell non-alchoholic cocktails - how about one of them?
