What is the deal with scientology-It sounds so out there.. Can someone answer what draws them to that cult?

Desperation, and appalling self-esteem. I'm sure that there will be an uncovering of kick-backs to John Travolta and Tom Cruise and the other "celebrity" Scientologists one day. It is a "religion" that has absolutely no sane basis (and was invented as a result of a bet L Ron Hubbarb made).

I love the fact that Germany refuses to recognise it as a religion. Thankfully there is at least one sane nation out there! Hopefully more countries will folllow suit.

What like about Scientology is that it is very presise and workable. Basicaly for me it delivers results.

Scientology doctrine as a religion holds as its most important axiom “What is true for you is what you your self observe to be true.” This axiom promotes individual thinkingness and independence. In fact it is a high crime in Scientology for anyone to tell anyone what to think or what to believe in. In Scientology it is YOU that do the exploring, YOU that do the observations and YOU come up with your own conclusion.

When you first get into it it seems normal and it's seems to make sense as a way of becoming moor happy and so forth. But it doesn't give you all of the info in the begining so they feel it to you little by little as you pay. So by the time you learn the really wacky stuff, you've already been in many many years, making it that much harder to get away.
