Would I be horrible if I smoked....?

Question

THC (pot) behind my bf's back -once in a while- without him knowing???? Does that make me a bad person. He hates it and would never understand....even if I just hit it once! ( I used to smoke a lot) I quit when we started dating for him..... But I don't see why once in a while would hurt, but he does! So would that be a very bad girlfriend of me??? Does he *have* to know every single thing?!!!

I've tried talkin with him about it... many many times! Its always the same out come.... I really dont c what once in a while, not around him, would hurt! But I love him and want to b with him... how do i make him understand?????
p.s. He will never smoke again in his life! I've tried!!

Well that ball is in your court. In my opinion if it's once in awhile, that one thing, but if its every weekend when you go over to a friends that hiding something you do. My fiance doesn't but I do. He doesn't like it but he lets me do what I want to do because I'm a grown adult and I'm my own person. It does help that I am a self motivater. I go to work full time, school full-time with a high GPA, and I'm a clean person so what I do in my spare time is my spare time. I don't tell him he's not aloud to get flat drunk or smoke cigarettes (which are worse for you) because I'm not his mommy. No offence to you, but when your with someone you shouldn't fee like you have to be someone else.

Relationships are based upon respect and trust. If you don't respect yourself enough not to suck this poison into your system, why should your boyfriend respect you?
Go ahead; lie to him; smoke pot; get busted and then cry all over him about how sorry you are and that you'll never do it again (until you feel like it) and how he should give you another chance.
Or realize how stupid what your asking is, and be true to him.
You stand at a crossroads in your life; either path has consequences, good and bad. The decision is yours.

Of course he has to know gurl,.,.a relationship is no good without the value called 'trust'.,.,I mean how would you feel if he was doing something behind ur back,.,Hey I smoke pot too every once in a while and I know just how u feel,.my gf didnt approve of it at first but I talked to her about it and she approves on the condition I ask permission first,.haha,.,If u really love ur bf talk to him about this occasional habit and ask him if he approves of it,.,and maybe he might want to smoke it along wit u,.,.thats like hitting 2 birds with one stone,.,If he doesnt approve then u have too make a choice.,,Him or the Joint?.,,.whatever yr desicion is just remember u made it and dont chu regret it,.,

It seems that you would rather smoke dope than to respect his feelings. You'd be better off going to NA than on a date with someone who genuinely cares about you. Shesn.

And not only is your smoking pot disrespectful to him - it's illegal and you know it.

How would you like it if you two were busted? He'd be just as "guilty" as you are - and it would be all your fault! What a mean, rotten thing to do to someone you presumably care about.

And guess what, Ms. Stoner - "Gee. I'm sorry" doesn't cut it in court. You will have ruined your young man's life forever.

I definetly would not.
1. Pot is rreeeaaallyyyyy bad for you.
2. It could make you look bad in front of him...which I think is important to most girls....
3. He really cares about you when he says that. He just doesn't want you to get hurt. If he finds out that you are smoking pot, then he'll be hurt to the max!
So, just don't do it ;)

Well that would be basically cheating and disrespecting him. Anything you feel the need to hide from your partner is deceptive and a breach of trust. If he has asked your specifically not to, and you know that will hurt his feelings, but you're still considering anyway....than obviously you do not care about his feelings much, and that begs the question, why are you even together than???

RYT i done sumthin just like tht when i got ma dream gf and i stop for like a month and then i started again and didn't let her know so i can give u wat i done!!!

I told her and then she tryed 2 help me stop and now well feel like so close coz we tell each other everythin and she didn't smoke at all so i didn't think she wood understand but she did and when i think bak it was the best thing now coz i don't need 2 hurry about her as much coz we tell everythin 2 each other!!

I would advice you to quit smoking. Since your boyfriend dislikes smoking, and if you wish to avoid conflicts, then stop.

Eventually, he will discover somehow. He is just concerned that you are ruining your own health.

I guess people get tempted sometimes to go back to their habits, so you shouldn't label yourself as "bad".

Try to talk to a friend or your family to help you quit. Don't confront him directly.

If your in the relationship, you should respect what he wants. its not just about you anymore. If you do it behind his back and he finds out im sure he will be very mad. So, if pot is more important than him, break up, and go get high. He deserves better, if thats what your going to do.

if he found out you did it behind his back then he'd be hurt and I'm sure there would be trouble but... he doesn't have to know everything. Surely he can't deny you one wee smoke now and then? Even if he hates it, you can do what you like, you are your own person and you're not hurting anyone.
