Really depends on the base. Also, depends on if housing has been privatized on the base or not. Some housing is good some not so. Some of the best I saw was at Charleston AFB, Worst Hanscom AFB. As someone stated earlier many officer choose to live off base in most areas the BAH rate you are given will cover your housing plus.

Housing, enlisted and officer, varies from base to base. There are some old housing areas that the officer housing is to die for! Some bases all of the housing stinks, others... it all is awesome.
I've been at bases where SNCO's had better housing then the O3s. Other bases where the housing was the same, just in a different area. At our current base, it's ALL tiny, including the group commanders house! (Don't know what the Wing CC's house is like, haven't been in it!)
As for websites, the only ones I have with pics are restricted use... must be enrolled in DEERS to have access. Sorry!

Are you lost or something? The Air Force questions you are asking are silly!

If you want to know more about the Air Force, then see your local recruiter, visit a base, go on a tour etc...

The Air Force is not a bad deal for being a branch of the military. They have, by far, the best living standards of all the branches and they also have a lot easier (in general) way of life.

All military housing we've lived in were decent. Nothing fancy, but nice, clean and livable. The ones we've lived in didn't have carpet (one had parquet floors, the other tile); all had good working appliances; roomy yards; patio. No complaints. Size depends on how many dependents you have. As I understand it, AF housing may be better than some other military branches. I, personally, always preferred living on base. While it's not entirely crime free, it's a lot safer than living off base, but then again, there's a lot of rules to follow too.

It really all depends on the base, some are VERY nice and some are bad. From our experience officers tend to live off base when it's an option.

They were just redoing the base house at Seymour Johnson (yes, that really is the name of the base) in NC, it was really nice, enlisted folk base housing was nice too.

A heck of a lot better than what the Corps gives their people to live in.
