The only piercing certification that I know of is through the APP (Association of Professional Piercers). Most piercers go through a 6 month to 2 year appreticship. If you don't know how to pierce, I would recommend asking around at shops if they have an opening for an apprentice. After you finish this, then you can look into getting certified by the APP.

i don't belive you have to get certified, i'm a tat artist in illinois and i also pierce occasianly i know you don't gotta be certified except for blood bor pathoogens
i you have not appritceed then go and do it cuz it ain't as easy as you think
