Hi,

I use Ares Ultra file sharing and I want to email the movie "Boys in the Hood" to a friend of mine so he doesn't have to spend money renting it, how exactly can I do this?

Well you definetly won't be able to email it because of the file size

what i would do is upload it to a website like XDrive, and then give him your username and password to xdrive so he can download it.

it is completely free and they give you 5gb. Or just burn the movie to a disc and mail it to him. here is a link to xdrive just create an account and give him the info

A movie file is too large, GIGABYTES, to email. Just burn it to a DVD and US Mail it to him.
Don't know about Ares Ultra file sharing, but if it acts like a server, just have him access it from his PC to yours.

I don't believe we have the capacity to be e-mailing movies. You can download from a site - but e-mailing is usually limited by size on both ends and is affected by ram, type of internet connection and hard drive.

If you point him to an internet site where this resides, then technically, he'd be able to download it (I'm not talking legality here - just technically).

All these people saying you definetly can't do it are wrong. It depends on your email. I have 200GB email inbox limit.

The best way would be to tell him to download Ares and search for it on there, would be alot quicker for the both of you.

It's probably too large of a file to email. Use http://www.sendthisfile.com
Just upload the file and it sends them an email with a link to download it from their servers.

I suggest you don't as it is illegal to share movies in this way.
