depending on how strong the sedative, you can feel from slightly drowsy to being unconscious. For the most part, they are just supposed to make you relax and feel sleepy.

My mom is a dentist and she always talks about her sedated patients, because they are the most grueling yet they pay the most.
Anyways i want to answer your question.
She said they often feel dizzy, nausea, but it's like being half awake with out feeling any sensation.
Don't be too worried, you won't feel anything.
Just a little drunk, without feeling.
It won't hurt if that's what you mean
You'll infact feel relaxed.
When you "unsedated" your going to feel like **** for a few hours.

I was sedated for a root canal and I was completely asleep. They told me I would be aware of what was going on but I don't remember ANYTHING! I woke up and everything was done!

When I had my teeth done I was given a valium 1 hour before and then as soon as I sat in the chair they gave me gas and then an I.V. I don't remember any pain, I don't remember my husband sitting with me for 20 minutes after it was over and I don't remember leaving. The worse part is after.
