I've gained 60 pounds, now I want to lose it all. I've been eating huge meals and snacking for a few months and I want to lose the fat. What is more effective? Portioning my everday meals or cutting all that crap out and eating nutritious foods like Tuna, 2% low-fat milk? My friend says that portioning my everyday food is the HEALTHIEST way to diet. I don't know, I say cutting the bad food out and eating healthy food is more effective... What do you think?

If you can cut out all the bad food, but still eat a healthy diet and not binge because you're depriving yourself, then that's healthier. However, you may want to start gradually, by portion control and slowly eliminating the "bad" stuff so that you can wean yourself from them and not give in to cravings. Don't forget to get regular exercise. Walking is actually very good for you and can be managed at any weight.

Try to eliminate all foods with sugar or corn syrup sweeteners. Substitute fruits or sugar free puddings and jello. Also cut out bad kinds of fatty foods such as chips. Try to eat lots of vegetables. And, walking each day. Drink plenty of water !! Best wishes.

I say eating healthy food. Just cutting out sugar should make a big difference.

If you're eating healthy, nutrient-dense food you are less likely to be hungry that if you eat sugar and chemical filled crap that doesn't satisfy your body's nutritional needs
