I understand how you feel! I am really scared of needles, but if you want your ears pierced.. it is worth it. In my opinion it doesn't feel like a needle. It feels more like a hard pinch and it is over before you know it. Afterward your ears might feel warm or itchy for the rest of the day, possibly a little sore, but not painful. If you want your ears pierced just do it, once its done you'll be happy with the outcome. Good luck!

Ear piercing dont even seem like a needle. I'm sure if they even use needles. They use a gun, that sounds really terrible but it hardly hurts. An ant bite hurts more

I want to get my ears pierced too, and I am thinking of getting them pierced this summer. At first, I was scared too, but after asking around quite a lot of people my age or under my age, I decided it wasn't gonna be so bad, because all the kids I asked answered:

"It's like your ear gets stapled, and it doesn't hurt at all. Really, it doesn't hurt. It does, but only for like a nanosecond."

Besides, A LOT of women/girls have their ears pierced, and, as you can see, it didn't kill them, did it? Some people even have their belly buttons pierced, or their noses.

So try it out! But remember to clean your ear holes once in a while, because if you don't......... my friend has her ears pierced, and because she doesn't clean her ears, her holes are all so rusty and red and weird and freaky!

When I got my ears pierced at 18, it hurt like bee sting. In fact the first one hurt so bad, I almost didn't let them pierce the other ear. I've wanted a second hole in my ears for years, but the memory of the first experience is prohibitive.

It does go away pretty quickly. Just go in remembering that it's over in minutes and you don't have to worry about pulling out a stinger.

It is not a needle. The earring actually pierces the ear. It only stings for a second. But if you are not ready then don't do it. Wait until you are ready.

No reason to be scared. They use a piercing gun, not a needle. It feels like a bee sting, or something similiar. Its really quick unlike when you get a shot and they take your time. I suggest if you go, bring a friend so you can squeeze her hand when they pierce you. The end result is a slight tender feeling. Youll laugh at how silly your acting right now:)

for the record (for other people who've answered this question) - gun piercing is standard in malls/shopping centres etc, but is a terrible way to pierce - it's basically shooting a blunt end through your ear, generally somewhat unsterile (as you can't sterilise the gun) and will take longer to heal.

the best place to get pierced is a professional piercers, with a needle - guaranteed sterile, will heal well (as long as you look after it) and less painful, as it's sharper and causes less trauma to the ear

I am freaked of needles too! But I just stared strait ahead and have two people pierce them, so they counted to three and then shot them, it hurt until they put the solution on them. Don't be scared, it will be okay!

Then don't get them peirced if you don't want to. But it doesn't hurt that much, and I HATE needles with a passion. It is not a needle by the way, it is more a gun thing. You don't see a needle.

Er ... well don't get them pierced then. Or you could get them done with a gun. It only take a second and it doesn't hurt. Having your ears pierced does NOT hurt at all! I have 3 holes in each ear and my nose. I did the 3rd set and my nose myself. They didn't hurt!
