Vonage. Worked with a lady from the West Indies and she had friends all over the world. Was making calls for 3 cents a minute. you may want to look at this as an option.

Maybe but I seriously doubt you will find such a service in the states. This is because there is not such as big of a market here compared to the UK.

So you get a prepaid card, enter pin and then number...... not such a big deal and the cheapest you are going to get in the states.

An alternative though which I just started using since I call the UK frequently. I signed up for Yahoo voice which is a prepaid $10.00 for a thousand minutes or you can do $25.00.

The price for calling the UK is 1 cent per minute when calling someones landline or mobile. I didn't have a head set with a built in mic so I bought the $25.00 yahoo approved one. Amazingly the sound quality was just as good as when I call on my cell.

If you have a broadband Internet connection then get a Skype phone. I have a wireless on that picks up about 150 feet from my house. Also it cost $70 all year and you get a phone number. Or you can use it just for calling out for like 30 or 40 dollars a year. I made that move recently and am satisfied.

You call U.S. and Canada for free. They list rates on their web site. They voice quality is great. Just make sure you have a broadband connection.

The best one right now from my experience is voipfibre. I have used voipdiscount, actionvoip, skype, but nothing provides per second billing and cheapest rates to india. Call for 30 secs and pay for only 30 secs. frikkn amazing. Go with this one
