Hi! Could you suggest some good healthy snacksto have between meals, incase i get hungry? I am trying to lose weight. I have started having 3 oatmeal biscuits for tea. Is that ok? Any other suggestions. Are protein bars good? We dont get them here.

Just to say that I am not really a fruit fan. Once in a while is good, then get bored. What are the best fruits to have.

Kashi, has a good line of healthy snack alternitives. Ive tried many other brands and they taste like cardboard, these dont, there bars, taste like candy bars, there cereal is, good,as well as other products. If you go to other specialized retailers like trader Joes, or whole food, even henrys if they are in your area you can find and possibly sample things. In addition, you may not like this much, but add fruits, veggies, and even nuts, while high in calories, they are super healthy and good for metabolisim. Also do an internet search for healthy snacking, youll be suprised by the number of web sites that pop up.
good luck

Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.

Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.

U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.

I have an aunt who's diabetic, and she munches on a few almonds between meals. Brazil nuts are also highly favored as snacks.

When I have oat bran in the house and I want to make brownies, I substitute half the flour for oat bran. My taste buds don't know the difference. Some people like to keep a bag of fresh baby carrots for between-meal snacks, and I used to enjoy a stalk of celery- perhaps spread with peanut butter.

A lot of fresh fruits and vegetables are good.

Good luck!

Dried fruit is quite good. If not try some lightly salted/plain popcorn or apple which is suppose to fill you up (although apple makes me hungrier). You can also have rice cakes, healthy type bars or just get some dried nuts and raisons and eat them. Only a hand ful of nuts a day tho, cashews are nice.

What about a fruit salad or even a whole mango? It always fills me up and is sweet and very tasty too. I think you need to change the oatmeal biscuits to something more interesting and more filling, that way you will be less likely to binge.

I on no account pass everywhere without a banana and a bag of grapes (pre-washed and wiped sparkling). it rather is amazingly healthful and handy. you do no longer could do something to them different than washing and packaging. on each occasion i pick a snack, I consistently choose for a banana or a small cup of grapes, very filling yet guilt loose. If am rather hungry, i'm going to seize a mushy pretzel. it is all I ever enable myself. ingesting a pretzel collectively as on the line is seen an overindulgence to me. So, I regularly persist with fruit. in case you like nuts, you're able to desire to take those; they're loaded with omega-3 fat and protein. or you're able to make a easy sandwich (even in spite of the incontrovertible fact that a technique or the different i do no longer think of that could keep nicely interior the warmth). nicely, wish that helped. once you're nevertheless unsure, right it rather is somewhat suggestion: persist with issues that require the least artwork yet supply you the main rewards!

Some protein bars are damn good. Just gotta know which ones. like Detour's Caramel and peanuts, taste pretty much like a candy bar with a very slight chalky taste, but still delicious nonetheless. if you like eggs i always make deviled eggs, just use light mayo and your good to go. if your trying to gain muscle weight, i eat a lot of bagels with cream cheese and boneless chicken i snack on with a ketchup/brown sugar sauce (most call it bbq sauce) thats pretty damn good. Another great snack food is peanut butter and banana sandwiches. i always have like 3 of those after i workout. theres so many things out there just gotta take a look around.

Since you're not a fan of fruit (which is probably the best for you) try low fat yogurt. Rice cakes or pop corn are good too.

Fresh fruit combines high fiber, nutrition and a small amount of an easily metabolized sugar.
