I have heard that you are not supposed to do crunches everyday because your stomache muscles need time to rest...is this true? I have been doin them mon-fri

yes every muscle is like that, do sit ups 4 times a week

I did them every day too, for a while. Now I've backed off to every other day and I feel like they're more effective that way. Also, make sure you're stretching those muscles after doing your crunches. That seems to help a lot. There are Yoga exercises you can do to stretch those muscles. And anything you do that involves twisting through the waist is excellent. Good luck to you!

I say every other day. That's a lot of stress on your muscles if you're doing them everyday.

sure, your ab muscles need to rest just like all muscles do, but they recover faster so you should be able to work them every other day. if you're using weights however, i wouldn't do more than twice a week.

every other day would be better yes, your muscles need time to repair themselves from heavy training. monday & friday is good.

If you are a beginner do it every other day. later you can do them every day.
