I don't really think she would've phrased the last line as a question, if it was just an excuse! She either wouldn't have written it, or would have said "Have to take a raincheck" or something... this way she's letting you know she's still up for it, and giving you an opportunity to suggest another time/place to catch up!
Go for it :)
If you don't want to be pushy, you could always leave the ball in her court. When you text back, say something like "No probs, let me know when you wanna catch up some other time. There's always the..." (insert some other event that's happening!) lol or just leave the last bit out...
hahah and maybe add a smiley. I like smilies lol. :)

I think that this is the one thing most guys have a problem with: reading signs and interpreting them by thinking it's somehow your fault. If she doesn't really want a 'rain check' she shouldn't have said so; it's her fault if she lead you on, not yours, so we can drop that one like a hot potato for now.
Second, (and only if you're comfortable) ask her head-on if she really wants a rain check or if she's not interested. Most girls like the up-front attitude and think it's really refreshing.
If you're not comfortable with that, then you have to resort to try to reschedule. If she gives a lame excuse or any other kind of excuse without at least meeting you halfway with rearranging the dance date yet again, then drop the subject and move on. If it's that's the kind of time you have to take to meet this girl somewhere, think of what it's gonna be like the rest of the time you would be dating her! But on the other hand, if you get a date up and running, you'd know for sure! I think we covered all bases here, huh? Hope this helped you!

I'd definitely say she wants to reschedule, if she didn't want to she wouldn't have bothered texting back
Go for it, give it a week though, cause then you know she's back.

Say cool, have a good time, get back to me on that! Then text her next Wednesday. If she blows you off again, then forget about it.
