how can I uninstall Quicktime or remove it from the startup menu?

do this to get Quick Time out of your startup!

click start
select run
type msconfig
press enter

next window click the tab startup and scroll down to quick time remove the tick mark click apply on the right hand bottom of that window click ok and exit restart the comp
if you get any window click the check mark and click ok

Start > Settings > Control panel > Add or Remove Programs > search Quicktime > select Uninstall

To uninstall go to Start->Control Panel -> Add remove Programs, select Quick Time and press Uninstall.
To remove it from startup go to Start -> Run and type msconfig and press enter. On the Startup Tab you can see the programs that start with windows and disable them. Quick time is qttask.exe. If you don't have Run in your start menu go to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Run.

Depending on your Computer.
Go down to the lower left and click Start, then choose Control Panel then choose Add & REmove Programs and click on it scroll down the list until you find Quicktime and click on Delete.

to remove from start menu
go start, programs, start up, right click on quicktime, select delete

to uninstall
go start, control panel, add remove programs, when list has populated find quicktime, click remove
