I am going to be a freshman next year at college. At my college we get to choose 3 classes and they assign us two of them. this was my original schedule that I "somewhat chose."
Mon & Wed.
8:00 - 8:50 - College Comp.
2:00 - 2:50 - Around the campus
3:00 - 4:20 - Intro. to early education
Tues & Thurs.
9:30-10:50 - Yoga
12:00 - 1:20 - History of world war II
4:30-5:20 - health & wellness
Fri
-8:00 - 8:50 - College Comp.
2:00 - 2:50 - Around the campus
I have a bad back and talked to my consoler about it. I told her I felt yoga would not be the best class and since there were no other opening's for a gym I opted to take a sociology class instead. She told me it would be no problem and she'd just put me in a sociology class that was open instead of a gym. She also recommended I get out of my history class because she felt that professor was very difficult

Well... she sent me my new schedule and my jaw almost dropped. She changed all of my classes and they aren't even the same classes!
Mon Wed & Fri.
-College Comp - 8:00-8:50
-History of civilization - 11:00-11:50
(supposidly this professor is VERY difficult)
-Around the campus - 2:00-2:50
Tues & Thurs
-Intro to music - 8:00 - 8:50
-Principals of sociology - 1:30-2:50
i am NOT happy with this schedule at all! AT ALL! 5 days a week of waking up at 8:00 not only that i didn't sign up for half of these classes I don't know what she did! She got rid of my one class for my major as well!
what should I do?
I'm afraid to call her again because I'm afraid she'll get annoyed!
help!

Honey, this is really posted in the wrong category, but I understand what you're going through. Been there, done that! Your counselor may have HAD to make all these changes because of classes being full, or no appropriate classes during the times you needed them. But don't be afraid to call and ask. That's her job!
If you have no other options, don't worry about it. Just jump in and do it. You can handle one very difficult class. You may even enjoy the challenge. And don't worry about not having a class in your major. You have to take all this other stuff anyway and you might as well get it out of the way. Once you start on the classes in your major you may enjoy them so much that the other stuff will be a drag. And as far as having early classes goes, you'll be able to handle it. You may find that you prefer those to late-in-the-day classes.
This is so very worth doing at your age. Believe me, it's easier when you're young! Grab onto a positive attitude and don't let go!! Feel free to email me if you get discouraged or scared.

What does this have to do with Singles and Dating?? Oh well its early so here is an answer for you
Your starting college now, and you have to learn to take charge of your life. Its not like high school and grade school where you had to go, you are paying for these classes and spending your time there.
They should be glad to help you, yes some people are pains and they act like they can't do anything, but raise enough hell and you will get what you want/need. Especially since one of them was for your major! Don't let people push you around

You should call her again. Counselors are there to help you. She probably has a lot of students and could have forgotten what it was that you actually wanted to do. You should take the classes that you want to take since it could throw off your whole college career if you don't. plus you are paying a lot of money to got there.

Its difficult to advice. Think what suits you dear. You know whats best for you. And even if you made a wrong choice, do not regret, you are not the only one...

Hey, this person is paid through your attendance at this school. With that in mind, she is essencially working for you. Don't be afraid to go to him/her and ask what happened, and why. Surely it must be an oversight.
