I remember in the old days how your browser would show links to webpages you had already visited in a different color. Now I have IE 7.0 and I noticed it doesnt do this anymore. Can somebody explain how to configure this wonderful piece of software that it does what it is supposed to do in the first place? Show me links I've already visited in different colors. Thank You.

IE7 should do this unless the web pages you are visiting are not coded correctly to show visited links.

Try this site of mine. The menu items at the top should change color for all visited links and when you hover your mouse over a link. Blue = hover, green = visited, brown = not visited, black = current

By default windows colors is used in IE 7. You can turn that off or change color by going to Tools -> Internet Options -> colors. check 'Use Hover color' and uncheck 'use windows color'.

If you cannot find Tools, right click on the empty area near the tabs and check menu bar
