If you are needing funds to contribute to the betterment of society, go to the local businesses and see if they are willing to contribute to your cause.

And if push comes to shove, go to amazon.com and look up fundraising books...they will have tons and tons of ideas for you.

Have an auction. Go to all your local businesses and ask for any donations or products. Then have a auction.
You can do raffles too. One year our RElay for Life team raffled off a huge spa package. It included gift cert. for a pedicure, manicure, facial, massage, haircut, style, candle, etc. We sold chances to win the package for one dollar.
Offer a local mother's day out. Ask the local school if you can use their gym. Keep kids from like 9-3 and they mother's pay for the service. While the kids are there have them paint canvases and have them all displayed. Have parents look at the gallery and they can buy their child's art work.
Just a few ideas.
Good luck.
Also, go to Little Caesar's webpage and they have a great fundraising program. You can make a lot of money. also, Krispy Kream donuts.

Well, my mother's group sold cheesecakes for a profit. It's so sucessful that they do it every year. However the problem that exists is that one person must be able to stock a hundred or so cheesecakes and must coordinate pickups with everybody. Another great way is to charter a bus for a day road trip where you sell tickets to cover costs and make a profit.

You didn't say who "we" are, but rummage sales will always bring in money and people get rid of stuff cluttering up their home.
