you know, in times in life like when you are in danger like before moments an accident happens or an earthquick or a shipwreck .. .. you seek help from God without paying atention
to his name and without paying attention to the religious things you have learned .
it is the most natural and clear way to feel God .
but in all those moments we connect to the same good god
not one time to the first figure of trinity and another time to the second.. ... . .. .
so we connect to One God. the creator
then how can some people say there are 3 gods or god is consisted of 3 parts or god has 3 forms or things like this ?
to me it is so obvious and natural that there is one God.
the one god that I feel with my heart in the times of extreme pain or dificult time and I seek help with all my heart from him.

to jazzman:
being consisted of three parts is ok for us .we are consisted of mind body spirit and non of these parts are dependent to each other i.e. dependant and imperfect and when sth is imperfect we can look for its sourse
there for for god we cant say that
because if God is consisted of three dependant and imperfect parts what is the sourse . I would call the sourse God

to all people that said one god three parts or like man and woman become one flesh again man and woman are imperfect and dpendent and so are the 3 parts of anything (is they were not dependent there would be one not 2 or three) so then we sould see their perfect sourse ;one sourse i call God

Praise be to Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful...

Allah says in the Quran (4:171)

O followers of the Book(Jews and Christians)! do not exceed the limits in your religion, and do not speak (lies) against Allah, but (speak) the truth; the Messiah, Isa son of Marium is only a messenger of Allah and His Word which He communicated to Marium and a spirit from Him; believe therefore in Allah and His messengers, and say not, Three. Desist, it is better for you; Allah is only one Allah; far be It from His glory that He should have a son, whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His, and Allah is sufficient for a Protector.

The new testament, neither the old testament talks about the trinity. But clearly it can be seen that people have made it up. Surely Allah knows best that people in the future will make up things like this and warns us in advance. Praise and Glory be to Allah. He is one and only. He is uncomparable. He can bring anything out of nothing, for verily He is All Mighty.

Before anything is asked about the trinity, it must be estabished what it is. According to the Catholic Athanasian Creed:

1. There are said to be three divine persons—the Father, the Son, and the holy spirit—in the Godhead.

2. Each of these separate persons is said to be eternal, none coming before or after the other in time.

3. Each is said to be almighty, with none greater or lesser than the other.

4. Each is said to be omniscient, knowing all things.

5. Each is said to be true God.

6. However, it is said that there are not three Gods but only one God.

I invite you to search the Bible, especially the 27 books of the Christian Greek Scriptures, to see for yourself if Jesus and his disciples taught a Trinity. As you search, ask yourself:

1. Can I find any scripture that mentions “Trinity”?

2. Can I find any scripture that says that God is made up of three distinct persons, Father, Son, and holy spirit, but that the three are only one God?

3. Can I find any scripture that says that the Father, Son, and holy spirit are equal in all ways, such as in eternity, power, position, and wisdom?

The answer to each of these questions is No!

I have heard trinitarians say that the Bible “implies” a Trinity. But this claim is made long after the Bible was written. It is an attempt to read into the Bible what clergymen of later times arbitrarily decided should be doctrine.

Ask yourself: Why would the Bible only “imply” its most important teaching—who God is? The Bible is clear on other basic teachings; why not on this, the most important one? Would not the Creator of the universe author a book that was clear on his being a Trinity if that were the case?

The reason the Bible does not clearly teach the Trinity doctrine is simple: It is not a Bible teaching. Had God been a Trinity, he would surely have made it clear so that Jesus and his disciples could have taught it to others. And that vital information would have been included in God’s inspired Word. It would not have been left to imperfect men to struggle with centuries later.

The trinity is a man-made falsehood.

I think that you are referring to the Christian God by your question.

You are not in error to think of God as one. There is nothing that I can say that is wrong with that. But IF you are going to discuss the Christian God, then the source that everyone points to is the Bible.

So it's from the Bible that we get our view of God. We depend on what it says to tell us about God and whatever else it talks about.

Many say that it is up to interpretation, so how do you interpret it when it says these things?
Psalm 45
7 You love righteousness and hate wickedness;
therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions
by anointing you with the oil of joy.

Zechariah 14
3 Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights in the day of battle. 4 On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south.

John 4
23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."

So by deducing the various passages ( there are so many more ) , we get different 'facets' of God. Or how would you interpret it?

Harry H - You have a body right? A soul right? And a spirit Right. - The Same with God. He created you in His image. BODY, SOUL AND SPIRT : Let me explain - God the body - Jesus the soul - The Holy Ghost the spirit (That's why we say the HOLY SPIRIT). In science they believe the body consists of three parts, In satanism they believe the same thing. Why don't you. The God you feel when you in danger is with you even when you not in danger. God created the Heavens and the Earth as well as hell, He sent Jesus to this world to die for us. After three day's He ressurected Jesus from the grave and ascended Him back into heaven. Then He send the Holy Spirit to guide us. You know that little voice that say's don't do this, it's wrong, that's the Holy Spirit speaking to you.

We tend to think of the trinity in terms of human supremacy. We think if there are three that bear witness in heaven, one must be supreme over the other two. They are equal. They argree as one unit. They are one God. Just as God said when man and woman marry they become as one flesh. Do man and woman become a freak of nature because they become one flesh? No. Man and woman become one unit after they are married.

For me is very strange that Christians believe prophets before Jesus informed that only one God.They accept Moses
is a prophet God sent to humans and they keep Thora the book of Moses as old testament. But in old testament there is no trinity.Moses or all other prophets never informed trinity.Jesus been circumcision and He didnt eat pork. But Christians eating pork and no circumcision. When that man death instead of Jesus on cross cried:My God why have you forsaken me?And after death of this man Christs pray to cross. But Jesus didnt advise them worshipping on cross.Even that man didnt bequeath using cross.

God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are ONE. Before He came to earth as a human, Jesus WAS.

(John 8:58)
"I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!"

(Isaiah 9:6)
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.

(John 1:1-5,14)
The Word Became Flesh (Jesus): In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. … The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

(John 20:30-31)
Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

(1 John 4:15)
If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God.

(John 14:6)
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Our Parish Priest's clear advice about the Trinity: don't try to understand it because we can't - people have tried but that was/is wrong to do - we just need to accept it and love God and know that he loves us, and trust in that. Maybe reading about the sin of intellectual pride might help - it is something to avoid (equally clear about that). Maybe you can find God in your life, not just in times of strife. You could try to seek some advice from your Church. Good luck.

I know in my heart there there is one God, which consists of three persons. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. There three are one God the same in substance, and equal in power and glory. This is what scripture teaches.

John 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
