Eve was deceived by the Serpent that Satan used as a mouth piece. She was obviously relatively young and was fascinated by the "talking" snake as she did not question it.
But Adam was NOT deceived. (2Co 11:3; 1Ti 2:14)
Motivated by selfish ambition, Satan, previously an angel with oversight in the Garden of Eden, misused his free will and became Satan, which means “Resister.” (Ezekiel 28:13-15)
He deceived Eve by assuring her of something contrary to God’s will. (Genesis 3:4, 5) Adam joined Eve in breaking God’s law. By grasping for what did not belong to them, they lost their glorious freedom. Sin became their master, and as God had warned, death eventually followed.

God warned them before that they can eat anything from heaven but not from this tree.God gave to satan a chance as a democratic way.And still giving till to the end of universe.
Suppose God wants to make believer the whole world people can make it in one day.For example will send an angel to world and all people will see the angel flying in sky.
Angel will say what people should worship and everybody will do it at once. But God doesnt want it this way.

I always wondered why they didn't seem to be surprised that a snake was talking. If you believe that the bible is true and a talking snake didn't faze them, were all the animals speaking? And if so, why wouldn't the bible say that animals could talk? I'd freak out if a snake talked to me and run like h*ll! Good bedtime story, but not quite Grimm Brothers.

The warning about the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil should've been enough! But we see the curse of our curiosity in every succeeding generation when we tell a child not to get too close to a stove or an electrical outlet, or tell them not to do something because it "looks dangerous" and etc. but yet, that CURIOSITY gets them hurt! They learn a lesson, but how sad is it that such intelligent creatures as humans are (for the most part) cannot seem to keep their hands away from the stoves of life!

God did warn Adam about the results IF he ' ate of the tree' or disobeyed.
(Genesis 2:16-17) And Jehovah God also laid this command upon the man: “From every tree of the garden you may eat to satisfaction. 17Â But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die.”

He gave them all the warning that they needed. Don't eat of the tree in the midst of the garden. Any other warning wouldn't really have made much of a difference eh...
