Again, how is this next verse taken out of context? The anti Islam site has it listed as a separate verse, but it follows the one I previously quoted. It's right after it.

"And slay them wherever you catch them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out, for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter. 2:191"

It's again talking about self defense. "Turn them out from where "they turned you out". If somebody takes your house, are you just going to sit there and let them, or are you going to fight them where you find them and take back your house?

Here is the verse that is right before it, talking about fighting in self-defense. What do you make of this whole situation?

"Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits, for Allah does not love transgressors. 2:190"

Thanks!

That's what Islam haters do.... take verses out of context to promote hate.

Word play is very powerful, I must admit.

It was the order of Army commanndor of US at vietnam war that wherever you find a Vitnamese, chase him and kill him. He meant that Kill or capture those who are fighing aganist the US and that is a war time command..
Suppose if someone quotes the same word out of context, how would that be. The Vitnamese would say, US is a terrorist.
Likewise every verse revealed in the Holy Quran has a context. That very verse applys to war time only. But true Muslims never committed attrocities but we all know that 3.5 million vietnamese killed by the US , the use of Agent Orange , napalm bombs and worst of all , My Lai massacre. etc. etc.

Islam teaches mankind every aspect of life. Hence it also teaches how to defend oneself if others wage war against you.
See the following next verse of the same chapter, it speaks of being mercy to the enemies.

'If one amongst the pagans ask thee for asylum grant it to him so that he may hear the word of Allah and then escort him to where he can be secure: that is because they are men without knowledge. (Holy Quran:9:6)

It means Allah (SWT) has spoken the truth!

We, as Muslims, are peaceable. But we're not pacifist. Allah (SWT) gave us permission to fight back with guidelines and that's where I get my religion-not from a non-Muslim's propaganda.
