Pus cells in the urine may be a sign of a urinary tract infection.

But Pus cells don't always mean infection.There may be normal if pus cells are around 5-8 in males and upto 10 /high power field (HPF).in females.

Those are dead leukocytes or white blood cells, they come from an infection, kidney or bladder usually. They are the bodies armed forces against bacteria.

One or two are not significant but more and accompanying symptoms can indicate an infection in the Urinary tract.

By the way, the spelling is pus.
