I think that people are misunderstanding your question. If you are asking what I think you are asking, you are trying to imply that by not believing in Santa Claus everyone is an atheist with respect to Santa. Most people don't look at it that way though, or they just can't comprehend it. People think that atheism is a religious belief really, rather than merely an absence of belief in something that we view to be just as ridiculous as the idea of Santa Claus.

Neither.
An atheist dose not believe in God, God is not Santa clause!
God gave me the gift of salvation. Not the gifts that people have there children believe Santa Clause brought.
I am a Christian not a Clausetin!

Santa Claus is based on St. Nicklaus and early Shamanic beliefs which are from Western Siberia/ Eastern Europe. I wrote a rather long paper on this for one of my ancient religion classes in college. I'm also very tired to go into a long, very dry answer.

I am not an Atheist. I like the Santa Claus legends and Miklós (St. Nicklaus) did exhist and was a great man.

Atheist and believe in Santa Clause.

Santa Clause had proved in my life. However, He wasn't like in the movie or picture.

Most of the time, He was like my father, my mother, my aunts, my uncles.

Are those my only two options?

Actually, I do believe in Santa Claus, in the sense of the spirit of Christmas, a generous adult who uses myth as an excuse to be good to children without being accused of having sinister designs on them. It has been said that Santa Claus is the way to give to children without having the burden of gratitude fall on them. And I know plenty of people who use God as an excuse to avoid sounding too egotistical: "Thank God I passed that exam" is more acceptable than "Wow! I'm so smart!"

In order to get along in this world, we need to be tolerant of other people's point of view. There is no need to label other's beliefs as either fiction or fact. It is enough to recognize that even my own beliefs can be interpreted different ways. Once I accepted that about myself, I found it easy to accept that others may not only believe differently from me, but hold a different interpretation of their own beliefs from time to time.

I was born Muslim, but I dont really practice religion. I live in Los Angeles and just try to enjoy life and I dont do harm to others.

I dont think that mankind can prove or unprove the existence of God so that kind of makes me Agnostic I guess. But Id say that theres more proof that he doesnt exist.

I really wish there was a Santa Claus.

Sure I believe in jolly old Santa, and the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy. What I don't believe in is that bloodthirsty monster people call god.
