Yes, I will let people with a few items cut in front of me in line when I have a cart full. It's the polite thing to do. I love when people do that for me, so I enjoy returning the favor to others.

I am generally the person with a couple items, with a 3 year old at my side, and most of the time, I just go through the self-check out :) But, if by chance I am the one with the buggy full, I generally always let the person with two or three items in front of me...Cause I really appreciate it when someone does that for me! I just follow the golden rule... :-) (Do unto others as you'd have them do unto you)

That's the reason they created self-checkout and the 12 items or less line. So no, I don't let them go first as they have places designated for them to go.

I often let someone with just a few items ahead of me if my cart is full.

Usually, I let them in front of me. I only shop once every two weeks, so, it's a pretty big load. I wouldn't want to be stuck behind someone with a load, so I do what I would appreciate, I let them go first.

I'm always telling people to go ahead. It doesn't bother me to wait a few minutes more.
