Until you've personally died for this country I don't think you have any business confronting anyone with that question.

Once you're completely dead feel free.

Most any American would give his life for his country...but....and read me carefully.....the sacrifice should be one that makes a difference. These guys should not be asked to give their lives for the whims of an incompetent commander in chief. Bush is out of touch, unrealistic and just plain bad at his job. He does not take the wishes of the American public into consideration. These guys deserve far better than him.
Far better to live for my country than to die for it.
And to the young soldier that got upset, you need to see things from other viewpoints but your own. Yes the military is a wonderful thing and so is waving the flag and all that but...the American public and Congress was blatantly lied to to get us there. I am a soldiers daughter. My father saw combat several times and made a career of the military. Not every war is a justified one and not every president is a good president. This one is not a good one. He is getting good people killed on a daily basis. My father thinks about this the same way I do. So does my uncle that lost an arm in Viet Nam. They think Bush is detrimental to this country and that he is bringing it down. I hope you live to see a future and that you do not become one of the many casualties for the mighty Bush ego.

To be honest 'no'. I don't see the point in dying for a country that only rewards the wealthy and beautiful. People like me are sent to die for the people who have the money and live in luxury. The day I go to die for my country is the day that the politicians are on the front line with me. The system sucks so I don't see why I should die for it.
