Someone might be able to interview a retired pit road official to hear some anecdotes of funny or crazy things taht happened but current pit road officials would probably just defer the interview to the nascar public relations dept.

The officials on pit road have to direct the interviewer to the
P R people in the NASCAR trailer for an official statement.

That would make a great book. You could talk to officials from different eras and of course the ones working races now. Record them all and edit the best stories for a book. I would buy it. Call it "The Official story of Pit Road". I agree though, I would like to see them interview them sometimes.

I think it would be pointless... they would not be able to say much on behalf of Nascar... They have to stay neutral... And I am not sure what they would say? There is much more drama with crew chiefs, and drivers... Its like trying to interview a NFL Ref, or MLB Umps... theres really not much of a story there because they have to be a neutral party...

I would like for them to interview one to tell everyone just what they look for on pit stops, and the communication they have with other officials...

Because they are scared that people like you that spell does as dose and says a interview instead of an interview and spells official as offical would be doing the interview. Go work on that spelling and grammar neck.

Pit road officials can probably tell alot of stories.....but racing fans want to hear from drivers or crew chiefs..... Even most pit crew members could probably tell stories...but who wants to hear about a lug nut that wasn't tightened from the person who didn't tighten it ...

excellent question. They would be the one's to ask about what goes own in the pits. Maybe they are not aloud to do interviews.Something in their contract.

because mike helton and brian france are control freaks they are the only ones allowed to talk that works for nascar in-case someone actually reveals the truth about things on accident

I don't think they are allowed to speak on behalf of Nascar, you only get to hear what they want you to. So you have to wait until they release a statement.
